It Begins with Letting Go

Some things may never be resolved. Loss of a relationship doesn’t stop hurting, though the pain diminishes. Failure even in small things can plague us and attack our confidence. The day I totally forgave a person who deeply disappointed my family and me, healing began. I started letting go.

What do you need to release? Is it anger over divorce, painful job loss, disappointment with a friend? Your penchant for procrastination? Start now. The Lord forgives, and by His grace so can we. Please don’t wait.

Here are some Bible verses to encourage you to make a strong start putting the past behind you.

Love keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:5

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs. Proverbs 10:12

He who covers over an offense promotes love… Proverbs 17:9

  1. Very insightful. You cannot change adversity, but based on your response to it, you can choose to have it become your advantage.   2. thanks for your most recent advice on “Letting Go”.  We have missed seeing you. Hopefully we’ll see you at next concert.  We are doing well and trust that you are too.
